About JENI

Jeni is a New England based belly dance performer and teacher, available for bookings throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. With 20 years of experience in the business, Jeni brings authenticity, class and professionalism to each and every show.

While Jeni's regular class offerings are currently on hold, she is still booking single and group private lessons. Lessons can be offered a la carte or you can add on a short performance for an additional fee.

Bio

Jennifer Cormier Daly ("Jeni") has been dedicated to studying and performing the art of belly dance since 2003. Now residing in the New England area, Jeni relocated from Los Angeles in 2019 where she performed regularly in top night clubs, restaurants and exclusive private events as a soloist and troupe dancer.

Jeni began her training at a young age at the Donna Miceli Dance Center in Massachusetts where she built her foundation in ballet and jazz. After graduating from Emerson College, she moved to Los Angeles. There, her passion for the art coupled with her Lebanese heritage led her to the world of Belly Dance. 

​

In 2003 she was invited to join Negma Dance Company under the direction of Aleya of Cairo. Through her work with the company, Jeni became immersed in the L.A. dance community and soon after was working with other reputable companies, including, Flowers of the Desert and Eloisa's Eshveh Dancers. In 2005 she joined Jillina's renowned company, The Sahlala Dancers, affording her the privilege to study with one of the world's most sought-after belly dance instructors.

Among the many theatre shows Jeni has to her credit, her most notable include: "The Arab-esque World Dance Concert" at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA; Steve Reid's "Dreamscapes," at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert and Jillina's "Danza del Vientre" at the El Portal Theatre in N. Hollywood. In addition to performing in various internationally distributed videos, including releases from IAMED, Little Egypt and Peko Records, Jeni also worked as a Script Supervisor on Jillina's 2007 line of instructional DVDs.

In 2008 she danced in segments for A&E's "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" and ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" as well as Fox's "Good Day L.A." and E!'s "Keeping up with the Kardashians" in 2010. 

​

In August of 2009, Jeni had the honor to perform in the opening night and Los Angeles debut of Jillina's "Belly Dance Evolution," a groundbreaking theatrical production that tours the world. As a member of the ensemble cast of "Immortal Desires," Jeni performed along-side some of the top names in the field. In August of 2010 Jeni danced in the show's one-year anniversary which was filmed for the official DVD release.

In May 2012, Jeni co-produced and headlined "Cairo in Kittery: Workshops & live performance with Aleya of Cairo." She rejoined the cast of Belly Dance Evolution in Jan. 2015 for their production of "Alice in Wonderland" at the Regent Theatre near Boston.

​

Jeni is also a Levels 1, 2 & Kids Hoopnotica method certified teacher in hoop dance. She has taught classes and workshops in Belly and Hoop Dance at various locations around ME, MA and NH, including "The Dance Place," in Newburyport where she is a master instructor in their annual Teen Intensive.  In 2010-11 she worked as a guest artist at Lowell High School teaching Belly Dance to students in the dance program and choreographing for their spring show.
